Todd:

Thanks! It was pretty "seat of the pants", as were many of the steps on this first one!

I'm going to do the neck on the second one this weekend, with volute - I'll take pics of the process.

Thanks Arnt! If the F5 I'm working on turns out a 1/10th as good as the one you recently posted, I'll be a truly happy boy!

Serge:

My job has taught me to be a pretty efficient multi-tasker. I am a project manager for a database project for the entire State of Montana. I am also the senior software developer, database designer, lead tech geek, chair of the committee that instigated the project and administrative assistant to myself! I wear a lot of hats at work. Hey, we're a poor state, we gotta make due with what we have.

Anyway to answer your question.

1. First dread still needs final set up - letting settle in a bit before I tweak it.

2. Dread number two - EIR and Carpathian - Box is done and ready to have mortise cut, neck blank is roughed and the trussrod slot is cut, FB radiused and fretted.

3. Dread number three - Flamed Mahogany and Carpathian - Box is done, will try to bind this weekend.

4. Dread number four - EIR and Carpathian Herringbone - Sides bent, blocks and kerffed lining in.

5. F5 Mando - Rims bent, blocks and kerffed lining in, plates are thicknessed and ready to be contoured, neck roughed out.

Yeah, I got a few irons in the fire, but that's the way I work best.

-Mark

EDIT: Just for the record, I have no social life... Mark Tripp38912.0061342593
